CPF Research & Professor Andrew Yule

Excellence, Experience & Expertise in Spray & Fluid Dynamic Systems

CONSULTANCY
One to one Consultancy can range from an hour or two to give advice, to sustained participation in a Project via meetings, Brain Storming etc. Its deliverables can range from Verbal Advice to written Reports and Design Studies that may or may not involve Computations and some Measurements. Professor Yule also has Expert Witness experience in cases (including Patent disputes).

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
There is access to measurement and computational facilities in well equipped fluid mechanics and spray research laboratories. This means that either all or part of your R & D project can be carried out and the results delivered. Alternatively some parts of a project can be carried out in this way but with cooperation with the in-house work at your own facility.

DESIGN & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Experience in both the industrial and research laboratory environments and wide ranging knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and spray and atomizer systems, enables development of new designs of equipment or improvement of existing designs. Criteria for performance can include efficiency, emissions, cost etc. Rapid Prototyping and Workshop facilities are available to make and evaluate, for example, spray injectors nozzles, during the development process.

TRAINING COURSES

Professor Yule can arrange and deliver engineering short courses in specialist topics, tailored to the requirements of the client.

Examples include:

Coating in medical applications using very fine sprays

Designing for efficient spraying

Measurement and computational tools for flow system development

Colleagues are brought in to cover their own specialist topics
